Summer Jobs - Cherry Pack, Cherry Growers, Inc.

Open Seasonal Positions, starting as early as July 1, 2011. Most positions expected to end by August 8. Unless specified differently, work hours are 6 am to 4 pm or 6 pm to 4 am, six days a week. With extensive overtime, individuals can make summer earning in a short period. Pad Manager

First and second shift. Ensures the right grade of fruit is directed to the appropriate production line. Also does inventory at end of shift and paperwork. Strong attention to detail required along with basic math skills. Must have ability to read and write legibly, be trainable, and have strong organizational skills. 5:30 pm - 4 am, 5:30 am to 4 pm. Minimum starting wage $9.00, $.50 per hour premium shift pay if applicable.

Prober

12 noon to 12 midnight. Collects readings of incoming fruit, creates log and delivers documentation to scale house. Minimum starting wage $8.80, $.50 per hour premium shift pay if applicable.

QC Tech

First and second shift. Samples, analyzes and tests finished and "in process" product to maintain established standards. Reports all variances in product according to established protocol. Must be able to think on your feet, work consistently and be able to follow directions. Requires a high level of physical activity. Minimum starting wage $9.00, $.50 per hour premium shift pay if applicable.

QC Pit-Checker

First and second shift. Systematically tests product coming off pitting equipment. Works closely with pitter operator and production lead person to maintain high quality finished products. Must be able to follow direction. Requires a high level of physical activity. Minimum starting wage $8.10, $.50 per hour premium shift pay if applicable.

Coder

First and second shift. Records codes used in production in codebook for all lines running. Hand writes tags for each code on each line (16 to 20 tags per code). Stretch wraps pallets off the production line. Attaches the appropriate pallet ticket to each pallet coming off the lines. Ability to read and write legibly. Minimum starting wage $8.80, $.50 per hour premium shift pay if applicable.

Outside Hilo Driver

First and second shift. Safely unload the incoming fruit and load back up with empties. Must pass forklift written test and must have ability to read and write legibly. Minimum starting wage $8.80, $.50 per hour premium shift pay if applicable.

Inside Hilo Driver

First and second shift. Safely moves finished product from production and through warehouse. Must pass forklift written test and must have the ability to read and write legibly. Minimum starting wage $8.80, $.50 per hour premium shift pay if applicable.

Yard Pit Detector

12 noon to 12 midnight. Thoroughly checks 100 cherries on each incoming load for large pits. Carefully logs in pit counts. Strong attention to detail required. Minimum starting wage $8.10, $.50 per hour premium shift pay if applicable/
