DESCRIPTION:
Canned sliced apples are prepared from sound, properly ripened fruit of varieties typical to Michigan. The apples are washed, peeled, cored, sliced, inspected, and blanched to preserve color. The slices are filled, topped with water, and thermally processed to ensure commercial sterility.
