DESCRIPTION:
Frozen sliced apples are prepared from sound, properly ripened fruit of varieties typical to Michigan. The apples are washed, peeled, cored, sliced and vacuum brined to preserve color. Slices are individually quick frozen (IQF) and packed 40 lbs. to each poly lined carton. Product is stored at 0°F or less
SPECIFICATION LIMITS:
This product is produced under all current GMPs. Slices shall meet minimum standards for USDA Grade A.
PACKAGING:
Poly lined fiber cartons. Net Weight 40 lbs.
STORAGE LIFE AND HANDLING:
Minimum 24 months when stored at 0° F or lower.
