DESCRIPTION:
Frozen red tart pitted cherries - 5+1 pack are prepared from properly ripened fruit of the red tart cherry varietal group Montmorency. The fruit is carefully harvested, washed, cooled and rapidly handled prior to processing. Cherries are then sized, destemmed, sorted and pitted. Red tart pitted cherries - 5+1 pack are packed 25 pounds per container and topped with five pounds of dry sugar to prevent oxidation and frozen at 0° F or lower. All product is evaluated basis U.S. Standards for grades of Frozen red tart pitted cherries (June 1974) Grade A, B, C or substandard.
PACKAGING:
Containers shall be new 30 lb. Net weight washed plastic pails with covers.
80 containers per pallet.
HANDLING AND SHELF LIFE: KEEP FROZEN at or below 0°
Minimum two years under optimum frozen conditions.
